Samsung has begun rolling out the March 2025 security update for its Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra smartphones in the US, initially for locked models on the T-Mobile network, with other carriers to follow soon. This update, which is also available in regions including Korea, Europe, India, and Thailand, includes significant security improvements.

For the Galaxy S25 series, the One UI build versions for the updates are as follows:

The update package is about 570 MB and introduces the latest Android security patch based on Android 15 and One UI 7, addressing over 58 vulnerabilities for improved performance. To check and install the update, users should go to Settings, select Software update, and choose Download and install. Completing this update prepares devices for future enhancements.

Additionally, Samsung released an April 2025 One UI 7 security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, which includes the third One UI 7 Beta update featuring six new functionalities and various bug fixes. Other Galaxy series, namely S24 and S23, are expected to receive new Beta updates soon. Samsung is known for providing early security updates before each month begins, while Google releases its updates on the first Monday of the month.

The March 2025 security update for the Galaxy A54 has already been pushed to Europe following its rollout in Korea. This update fixes over 58 security vulnerabilities identified in previous versions, including high-priority issues patched by Google. Users can verify the update through the specific One UI build version A546BXXSBCYB7, requiring a download of around 275 MB.

Samsung also rolled out the March 2025 One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S25 series in India, with the current AYC2 firmware available for the Ultra variant. The OTA package is nearly 600 MB. The security enhancements include addressing critical, high, and moderate vulnerabilities. This update takes advantage of the Seamless Updates functionality, allowing for a swift installation process.

As of March 24, 2025, Samsung is progressively expanding the security update to the Galaxy S25 variants in Thailand, continuously improving stability and addressing vulnerabilities across the board.

The March 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S24 FE has also been released, specifically for Verizon network users in the US. This patch includes fixes for 58 vulnerabilities, with the update manageable through the device’s software update settings. Samsung plans to initiate a stable One UI 7 update rollout starting April 7, 2025, for several Galaxy devices, including the flagship Galaxy S24 series and the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. Alongside these updates, Samsung also promises enrichment of features in existing devices through One UI 7.
