• Leaker Jon Prosser unveiled mockups suggesting iOS 19 will undergo a significant visual overhaul, adopting a ‘glassy’ design aesthetic similar to Apple’s visionOS, featuring rounded icons, menus, and buttons with increased translucency and a more three-dimensional appearance.
• While the Lock Screen retains its functionality, it receives a visual refresh with subtle translucency changes and a more 3D effect on buttons; Settings, popups, and app menus will also incorporate this rounded, glassy style, mirroring the design language of visionOS.
• Prosser claims his mockups are based on a leaked version of iOS 19, although he admits to including some fabricated elements for comedic effect; he emphasizes that the update primarily focuses on design changes, with no major new features like AI additions anticipated.
Leaker Jon Prosser recently provided a glimpse of Apple’s forthcoming iOS 19 update, sharing mockups that depict various changes to different apps and features. He emphasizes that while some mockups are based on real versions of iOS 19 that he has seen, others are not accurate representations and were meant as jokes to protect his sources.
Prosser highlights that the Lock Screen will see a visual departure, maintaining its functionality but adopting a translucent style for notifications and introducing a more three-dimensional, floating button aesthetic. The Settings menu and popups will feature rounded designs with a “glassy” style, resembling design elements seen in visionOS.
The app interfaces will also adopt this rounded design with floating styles and circular layouts. This design approach extends to the keyboard, which is described as having a rounder top with a similar glassy appearance, giving it an almost floating look. Earlier, Prosser had already shared mockups for the Messages and Camera apps, both of which display bubble-shaped navigation buttons, softer edges, and increased translucency.
Additionally, he mentions that Apple’s Sports app and the new Invites app reflect the iOS 19 redesign, with embracing glassy buttons and interface elements consistent in their recent applications. Despite these stylistic changes, Prosser notes that there are no indications of significant new AI features or other major additions, suggesting that iOS 19 is primarily focused on aesthetic updates rather than functional enhancements.
The piece also includes updates on the upcoming iPhone 17 series, which is expected to launch in September 2025, along with new features and perks for iCloud subscribers, including the introduction of the Apple Invites app. Furthermore, it provides insights into another update, iOS 18.4, which adds features like priority notifications and mentions that AirPods Max will support lossless audio in future firmware updates.
General feedback in the comments section reflects skepticism regarding the authenticity and substantiality of these rumored updates, with many users expressing disappointment over the perceived lack of major redesigns and features.

Apps – App menus and buttons will have the same look with rounded corners, circular design, and floating style modeled after visionOS.
